Smilla VET Renal dry food provides your cat with the best possible support for chronic renal insufficiency and oxalate stones.

  • Chronic renal insufficiency: This food was specifically developed for cats with chronic renal insufficiency. The moderate content of high-quality proteins helps to relieve the kidneys
  • Oxalate stone prophylaxis: Due to its urinary alkalising properties, the food is suitable to help reduce the formation of oxalate stones
  • Reduced phosphorus and calcium content: A reduced phosphorus and calcium content, which still covers your cat's nutritional requirements, can also help to support the urinary tract

Smilla VET Renal dry food is specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of cats with chronic renal insufficiency.

As a central metabolic organ, the kidneys are involved in numerous bodily functions, including regulating blood pressure and acid–base balance, and detoxification. If kidney damage has occurred – often for reasons that are not clear – affected cats need a diet that is gentle on the kidneys. The Smilla VET Renal dry food is characterised by a moderate content of high-quality beef protein and a reduced phosphorus content. This helps to relieve the still efficient nephrons while preventing further damage to the kidneys. The appropriate calcium and vitamin D content, along with potassium citrate, help prevent the formation of oxalate stones in the urinary tract.
